Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Bronx peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. The so called “tres leche cake” is not a tres leche cake. Every time when we order one for a birthday cake, you guys always give us biscocho de vainilla relleno con crema pastelera. And unfortunately that is not tres leche. This is second time when we ordered the same cake for my mom and then for my little sister, today. Please stop naming it tres leche and actually add the tres leche.

Let me start by saying - they went above and beyond to help me when I was in a crises on the day of my baby shower! So sweet and accommodating! Unfortunately, the cake I originally had ordered for my baby shower was not fulfilled and last minute they informed me they couldn’t get me my cake for that day. I was frantically calling any place and everyone said they couldn’t help. Mr. Cake was the ONLY bakery that offered to help me, said they could make me a two tiered cake and that they could have it ready IN A FEW HOURS! Well enough in advance of my baby shower and the cake turned out beautiful! They also charged me a really fair price even though it was a last minute request. All of my guests said the Dominican cake with the dulce de leche filling was delicious and they were asking me where I got it from. I gladly told them about Mr. Cake! I will be returning as a regular customer here for my cakes and desserts from now on. They’re quick, efficient, helpful, and make a great product and a great price. Thank you again!!

I have ordered some pastries, coffee and deserts several times now I appreciate the cleanliness of the place and the service quality I believe I have enjoyed their cappucinos the most AND the small guava cheese mini empanaditas... Their EMPANADAS are seriously really good and you ALWAYS find a fresh batch 👌🏻 their chicken empanadas are very very very good 🔥 Other than that, I have not really found anything special about the other pastries I have selected BUT their desserts do have really good presentation which works for me since I usually get some snacks to give away to clients at work 😅 Their site is always inmaculate 👍🏻 Would continue going back because it is conveniently located for me and because its prices are very reasonable 🌝
